Questions
The short version. All nominees must comply with the Official Rules, and if anything on this page differs from the Official Rules, the Official Rules govern.
Do I need to be at RDC to win?
Nope! Winners don't need to attend. Nominations and voting both run through Sunday the 13th; winners are announced here and on our socials on or about September 19, and we contact every winner directly. If you win and don't have public contact info available you can provide it on our website after the 19th by authenticating your Roblox account and supplying it to us.
But, if you're at RDC, come by the booth and say hi!
Can I nominate myself?
Yes, and we encourage you to if you'd like to enter. The judges care about the work regardless of who put it forward. The people this event exists for don't need to be the most popular or have a formal third party nomination. It helps to get votes from your friends once your nomination has been approved and voting opens on September 10th to surface your entry higher in the list for judging, but we'll be voting based on submission quality, not popularity. You only have one nomination and one vote for each category, however, so spend it wisely!
Do I have to work alone?
No. Best Underrated Scripter, Best Underrated Artist, and Best Mentor each recognize one person. Nominate an individual, and it's fine if their work shipped while working with a team, a studio, or as a commission; tell us which parts were theirs. Best Underrated Experience and Best Tech Demo are for the published experience itself, however many people built it; if it wins, we contact the account or group that publishes it to arrange the prize. Responsibility for authentication and prize distribution is based on the public group owner.
Who can't win?
Anyone under 16; Uplift Games staff and their households; and the judges themselves and their households. To nominate or vote, your Roblox account also needs to be at least 90 days old and in good standing. Beyond that, these awards exist for developers who haven't been celebrated yet. Established studios and already-famous creators are outside the spirit of the thing. Moderation may decline those nominations.
How is "under 10 million visits" measured?
Lifetime visits, the public number on the experience page. Visits count play sessions rather than unique players which is why we have this at 10 million. Eligibility is checked at the time of nomination: we record the visit count when a nominee is screened onto the ballot, so attention from the nomination itself can't disqualify anyone afterward.
How exactly are winners picked?
Nominations come in until voting closes, and moderators screen each one for eligibility onto the public ballot. During voting, the community votes on everyone on the ballot. These votes allow us to sort the nominees for judge review. Uplift team members will review community votes and select five finalists per Award Category. Those finalists will be submitted to our panel judges where they will be further scored.
Judges will have full access to every candidate submission and may choose to score additional submissions at their discretion. A candidate's final score is the average of the scores of all participating judges; the finalist with the highest average score will be declared the Winner for each category. Any winning candidate must have multiple independent judges score their submission to win. Vote totals are never shown publicly.
How do I get paid?
It's cash, paid to you directly. You'll sign a prize eligibility agreement and complete a tax form, W-9 in the US or W-8BEN elsewhere, then send bank details and photo ID so we can send the money. Any tax you owe on the prize is yours, and we can't give tax advice. Winners under 18 are paid through a parent or guardian. Winners have 30 days to respond and complete verification, or the prize is forfeited; prizes are paid within 30 days of verification. The official rules and terms have the full details.
Is this an official Roblox event?
No. Uplift Awards is hosted independently by Uplift Games and held during RDC 2026. This event is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Roblox Corporation.
